Debby,
I just came back from looking at my old dance school to say hi to some old friends there and they had an open house going on where they were performing. Well, let’s just say that training with you was probably one of the best things that could have happened to me. Watching those dances was just so painful to see the lack of creativity in choreography and originality, the loss of interest on the dancers’ expressions. I mean, it was like watching a bunch of rich parents sending their kids to dance lessons they didn’t want to take. I always knew that you were a real artist and performer but it just reminded me of you and I thought I should let you know how much respect I have for you and all of your teachers. Every dance created in that studio has so much spunk and energy and creativity, it’s honestly an honor to know that I attended your dance school. Thanks so much and keep up all the good work :)

Congratulations on a beautiful performance yesterday. Thank you for giving our children such a great opportunity!

Good job to you, Deborah! The show was great. I’m impressed with you! That you do this year after year, are still so involved with all the kids, performances, everything; that you haven’t handed it off to other people. Your energy, spirit, and creativity shine through. You are the engine.
-Warmly, Kate Goodale
Thank you so much for all you have done for all the kids and all the incredible work. It’s thrilling to see every year. You deserve one huge ovation (and then a vacation). Charlotte had to write an essay for school on something very important to her and she wrote about being in the show. Take care and see you soon.

Hi Debby - What a great show. You have accomplished so much. You have a lot to be proud of. I wanted to thank you for your words of wisdom to Micaela. Her nana definitely wouldn’t have wanted to miss the show.

Deborah - Congratulations on the show! You really outdid yourself on this one. The work was unbelievable that you got these kids to do. Ken and I were so impressed, amazed, and delighted. Thank you for all that you give to the girls and to our families.

Deborah, the show was amazing!!! The quality of it all! I was so impressed by the dancers and how good they all are; the energy and fun that is apparent with the dancers. Loved the B.U. dance auditorium; that was excellent and seems worth doing again if you ask me. Costumes. Program. Well done and well doing. You rock, girl, dame!

Hi Debby and everyone at the office. Thank YOU for everything! The shows were amazing! Leina’s relatives thought the dancers all looked so professional. And we loved the choreography the teachers came up with! So so fun! We are so happy that Leina is learning from such excellent teachers!

Dear Deb,
We just wanted to thank you so much for the magical experience last night. The show was absolutely fantastic. Reina and Lonnie both continue to amaze us with the way they dance, thanks to you and the other wonderful teachers at your studio. David and I had the best time last night -- I don’t know if you could tell from the wings, but we had a ball! And the look on Reina’s face when she found out she had earned an Achievement Award was priceless and unforgettable: I have never seen her eyes get that big! And it was so lovely to see her get mobbed by the community of kids you have created at the studio, the kids who are now her very good friends. So THANK YOU for everything -- well done!!!
-Love, Sue, David, Lonnie, and Reina
Deborah - I don’t know if you’ve recovered yet from that whirlwind weekend you just created (please tell me someone plied you with champagne or something nice as a reward!) but I wanted to tell you how amazed I was at both the BU and Medford performances. The DMSD show in Medford was a wonderful overview of the breadth of skill levels and dance forms you offer; really, I don’t know how you managed to coordinate all those little ones (okay, now I know why I felt so out of sorts trying to maintain some order during the rehearsal Friday... so many kids!!! And if I felt that way, what about you???) but you pulled it off and it really was a great show. The CYDP performance at BU was an exceptionally good show - it allowed the more experienced dancers a chance to shine in their own light. And boy did they. I hope you will do that every year, and I look forward to the years we have to share in that with you! I see that you offer these girls and bous the chance to be in an environment where they can feel good about themselves and be creative and challenged and learn... and look what they create out of it! Wow. Please let me know how and where I can submit a donation. I think you do a fine thing and I would like to support you in that effort. Thanks, and have a great, relaxed beginning to your summer. See you at your summer program in July.
