Celia Marino: Ballet Master (CYDP Dance Company)

Celia Marino trained extensively in Venezuela and in New York City at the School of American Ballet. She was a principal dancer with Ballet Nacional de Venezuela touring throughout Venezuela and the Caribbean, including guest appearances at Festival Internacional de Ballet de la Habana, Cuba. Ms. Marino joined The Ailey School in 1985. Since then, she has served as Chair of the Ballet Department, Director of the Junior Division, Student Advisor, and as an instructor of ballet, pointe, and variations classes. She developed the syllabus

for the Junior Division program and has conducted auditions for the scholarship program and the BFA program at Ailey/Fordham University. Ms. Marino has also been on faculty with Dance Theater of Harlem, Philadanco, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, and Boston Conservatory. She has served as a full time ballet master for both the intensive trainee and the summer programs at Boston

Ballet School.
